Honoring our past through the restoration and revitalization of our historic church and sacred grounds.
Join Our MissionThe Deep River Church and Cemetery Association is a community-led initiative dedicated to preserving our valley's historic landmark. By maintaing the physical structures and cemetery, we create a vibrant space for cultural events, local history education and community gathering.
[PLACEHOLDER TEXT] Built in 1884, our chapel stands as a testament to timeless architecture. Today, it serves as a multi-use community hub hosting art exhibitions, acoustic concerts, public forums, and historical tours.
Every dollar raised through our architectural tours goes directly into local stonemasonry repair work and timber preservation projects.
We manage routine maintenance, historic stone cleaning, and sensitive landscape architecture, ensuring a peaceful, respectful environment for visitors.
Our volunteer team catalogs records and headstones to map out local ancestry, helping families reconnect with their roots through public databases.
Join our seasonal educational walks exploring the lives of the foundational community members resting in our historic grounds.
Whether you want to volunteer for a cemetery cleanup day, donate to the building restoration fund, or share family records, your contribution matters.
